AsiaInfo Services 07-19-2006 19 Firms to Start Direct-selling Business CHINA, Jul 19, 2006 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Nineteen companies, including Avon, have released their statements to develop direct-selling business on the official website of the Ministry of Commerce. To our surprise, such better-known companies as Amway, Tiens and Prefect are not included. Avon, an industry bellwether, has got the license to conduct the direct-selling business and the other eighteen companies have handed over their applications to the Ministry of Commerce.
