AIRBUS TO TRANSFER CORE TECHNOLOGY FOR A320 TO CHINA

AsiaInfo Services 07-19-2006 Airbus to Transfer Core Technology for A320 to China CHINA, Jul 19, 2006 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Laurence Barron, the vice senior president of Airbus and president of Airbus China, told that for the time being, Airbus is talking with a Chinese industry complex headed by Tianjin Government about the general assembly line's construction in Tianjin, China.
The general assembly line will be operated by China and Airbus' joint venture, and will cost CNY 5 billion. Plus the cost of construction of supporting facilities, the total investment in this project will reach CNY 8 to 10 billion, and most planes assembled will supplied to Chinese airlines.
