AsiaInfo Services 08-08-2006 Lenovo Plans to Open 500th Retailing Store in India by '07 BEIJING, Aug 08, 2006 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Chinese PC giant Lenovo plans to expand its nationwide retailing presence in India to 500 stores by 2007, Anil Philip, a senior director for Lenovo??s India operation was quoted as saying. At present, Lenovo has 50 independently and 250 non- independently-owned stores in India, all under the operation of Lenovo??s existing Indian distribution partners. After the setup of the 500th stores, its independently and non- independently-owned stores in India will reach 100 ones and 400 ones respectively, according to Philip. So far, Lenovo products can meet the demands from end individual users, offices, medium-end market, local education...
