AsiaInfo Services 08-17-2006 Bombardier Inks Parts-Making Deal with Shenyang Aircraft SHENYANG, Aug 17, 2006 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- The world's third-largest commercial aircraft maker Bombardier Inc. entered into a contract to let China's Shenyang Aircraft Corporation make parts for its Q400 turbo prop planes. Under the contract, Shenyang Aircraft, a unit of China Aviation Industry Corp., will make the front and rear fuselage section and tail for the Q400 planes.

The project will be able to generate over USD 30 million production value per year after becoming operational. In November last year, it was said that Shenyang Aircraft would set up a joint venture to manufacture C-series regional jets with the Canadian partner. It was shelved later, however. ...
