AsiaInfo Services 08-28-2006 BenQ to Separate OEM Operation Next Year SHANGHAI, Aug 28, 2006 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Taiwan-based electronics manufacturer BenQ will separate its OEM business division as an independent company next year, according to BenQ Chairman Lee Kuan-yao on August 24. Based on a preliminary blueprint, it will form three independently-run profit sources, after separating two of its manufacturing operations, respectively for its own-brand products and the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) business, under the flagship of its information products and digital media divisions, and plus its existing mobile division, said Chairman Lee.
