AsiaInfo Services 09-06-2006 Buick Royaum Prices Shapely Cut in Dismal Sales SHANGHAI, Sep 06, 2006 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Buick Royaum, a flagship model of Shanghai General Motors' Buick brand, is now sharply marked down in China market, with biggest price slash exceeding unexpected CNY 93,000. The model is positioned to enrich Buick's high-end product line, and it was sold at averagely above CNY 400,000 since the debut last March. According to a local car dealer in Shanghai, the sharp price cut of Royaum was mainly attributable to its small sales. Figures show only 5,028 units of Royaum were sold in 15 months as of the end of this July.
