AsiaInfo Services 10-30-2006 Microsoft Denies Operation of XBOX 360 Business in China BEIJING, Oct 30, 2006 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Tongfang, one of China's leading IT products makers especially known for its PC and digital TV system products, was said to act as an agent for Microsoft's XBOX 360 player business in Chinese mainland.
But Microsoft later expressed firm denial to the rumor. It was said that Tongfang's digital and entertainment division would choose Microsoft's XBOX 360 player as the platform of the integrated solution for its IPTV project, to have a series of Internet games developed and operated by Tongfang embedded into it. However, Microsoft has no any plan to bring the XBOX 360 player in the mainland market, due to the policy restrictions...
