AsiaInfo Services 11-30-2006 10 Globally Launched Cars Debut at Auto China 2006 BEIJING, Nov 30, 2006 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- The multinational car giants, such as DCNEA, BMW, Volkswagen, Ford, GM and Toyota, attended Auto China 2006 in Beijing and first launched 10 new cars for the first time on the globe there. Besides, the world's second largest automaker, Ford Motor set up an R & D center in China with the first-phase investment of CNY 220 million before the Beijing auto show. Cheng Meiwei, the chairman and CEO of Ford Motor China, said that the total retail sales in Chinese market surpassed 127,000 units in the January-October period, soaring 101%, while the sales of Mercedes-Benz jumped 49% and the president of DCNEA expected the sales of Benz to triple....
