AsiaInfo Services 12-04-2006 China Unicom Treated 64 SPs in Jan.-Oct. BEIJING, Dec 04, 2006 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- China United Telecommunications Corporation (China Unicom) released on its press conference in Beijing on November 28 that it would take stricter punishments than ever to stop service providers (SP) from violating regulations continually. According to the data of China Unicom that by the end of this October, it has processed 110 violations of SPs, has cancelled the qualification of 64 SPs and has warned the rest ones. The complaints from domestic users this year has reduced 47% over that of 2005, said Miao Wei, one general manager of China Unicom; and China Unicom has cancelled all of the businesses of the 64 SPs on its platform by ending contracts...
