AsiaInfo Services 12-04-2006 Pfizer to Cut down 2,200 Job SHANGHAI, Dec 04, 2006 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Pfizer Inc., the world's largest drugmaker, said on November 29 that it will axe 2,200 employees in its sales department in US, accounting for 20% of its workforce. A source told that the list of the employees to be dismissed, including senior executives and forefront sales representatives, will be made in December.

Spokesperson of the company Paul Fitzhenry said that it will be the last reduction in its sales departments at home, however, the other departments are still exposed to examination.
