AsiaInfo Services 12-15-2006 Shanghai Airlines Inks USD550mn Deal with GE Aviation SHANGHAI, Dec 15, 2006 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- China's Shanghai Airlines Wednesday signed a USD 550 million deal with US jet aircraft engine maker GE Aviation. The deal is composed of USD 300 million aircraft engine purchase and USD 250 million service.
These engines are reported to power nine Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircrafts that the carrier ordered this October. The company has partnered with GE Aviation for nearly a decade, said a Shanghai Airlines executive, and they hoped that the deal would boost the economic and trading cooperation between the two nations.
