AsiaInfo Services 03-28-2007 China Unicom Unveiled Low-end Cellphones Batch Procurement SHANGHAI, Mar 28, 2007 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Chinese mobile telecom tycoon China Unicom finished its purchase of 2 million sets of low-end mobile phones, sources said. Of the 2 million sets of low-end cellphones, 10 models were made by home and abroad manufacturers including Huawei and Samsung.
Notably, thanks to its long standby time, C2600, a model of Chinese telecom equipment giant Huawei Technologies, took up a 15% share in the batch procurement.
