AsiaInfo Services 04-03-2007 China Unicom's 06 Net profit Leaped 28.2% BEIJING, Apr 03, 2007 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- China Unicom, a leading mobile telecommunications operator in the nation, obtained operating revenue from major business of CNY 80.48 billion last year, climbing 5.7 percent versus 2005. Its net profit leaped 28.2 percent to CNY 3.64 billion and earnings per share reached CNY 0.172, higher than expected. Pre-tax profit from CDMA business, which brought a loss of CNY 210 million (pre-tax) to the company in 2005, was CNY 1.03 billion in 2006.
