AsiaInfo Services 04-05-2007 Shanda Exceeded NetEase to Be Leader of Chinese Online Games SHANGHAI, Apr 05, 2007 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Market share of Chinese leading interactive entertainment media company Shanda in the fourth quarter of last year surpassed that of NetEase, ranking the first place in domestic online games market. In the fourth quarter of 2006, Chinese online games market was valued at CNY 2 billion, increasing 9% from the previous quarter.
Shanda, an indigenous Internet giant portal NetEase, and homegrown leading online games operator The9 Limited ranked the first three places.
