AsiaInfo Services 04-11-2007 No Agreement between EA and The9 SHANGHAI, Apr 11, 2007 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Electronics Arts (EA) clarified that it has not yet inked any agreement for acquiring a stake in The9 Limited, one of the leading online game operators in China. Rampant talks previously stated that EA, the global leading company in the online game industry, had planned to buy a 19% stake in The9 for USD 200 million.
However, the spokesman Jeff Brown with EA denied the purported deal while commented nothing more. The9 relies heavily on World of Warcraft, the most popular online game worldwide nowadays.
