CHINA MOBILE TO UNVEIL TD-SCDMA OPERATING SYSTEM

AsiaInfo Services 04-12-2007 China Mobile to Unveil TD-SCDMA Operating System BEIJING, Apr 12, 2007 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- China Mobile (SEHK: 0942) will probably announce the operating system of the experimental TD-SCDMA network, as formal agreements with equipment providers to be signed before April 13, said a source involved in the matter. Earlier, Wang Jianzhou, chairman and CEO of the nation's largest mobile telecom carrier, first confirmed that it will probably complete the TD network in eight cities that are to hold the 2008 Olympic Games by the end of October. It has established a new subsidiary being responsible for constructing and operating the TD network.
