AsiaInfo Services 05-07-2007 Microsoft to Promote Vista in China Soon SHANGHAI, May 07, 2007 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Microsoft, along with its Chinese OEM (original equipment manufacturer) partners, will promote original Windows Vista in Guangzhou, Beijing and Shanghai from May 1 to June 30. The U.S.-based IT tycoon and several PC makers including Founder, Haier, HP, Lenovo, Tongfang will tell customers how to distinguish the original Vista from the piratic one in 275 retail stores for OEM-made PCs, by means of promotion and training. Only a month after Windows Vista's release on January 30, Microsoft had sold out 20 million authorized licenses around the world, surpassing the amount in 2 months after the release of Windows XP.
