AsiaInfo Services 05-23-2007 Chinese Cartoon Creator Favors Japanese Peer other than Disney SHENZHEN, May 23, 2007 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- IMA Group, the creator of Hello Kitty, and a Shenzhen-based animation derivative products maker recently bought the production rights of an original Chinese cartoon named Pacoo for CNY 20 million. Pacoo, which is originally created by Guangzhou Shengmei Digital Image Production Co., Ltd., is to be played on Japan's NHK TV soon, the first time for Chinese cartoon products to step onto the international stage. The cartoon tells the adventure of a group of children in the tribe full of fruits with magic.
