AsiaInfo Services 06-21-2007 China Unicom to Further Enlarge GPRS Network Capacity BEIJING, Jun 21, 2007 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- China Unicom, the second largest mobile telecom carrier of the nation, will continually enlarge the capacity of the existing GPRS network in more than 70 cities distributing throughout China mainland. Earlier, China Unicom announced that it had successively upgraded the GSM network in the 70-plus cities into GPRS network, and will try to cover that into more major region-tier cities within 2007.
