FIAT ANNOUNCES 5-YEAR PLAN IN CHINA

AsiaInfo Services 07-10-2007 Fiat Announces 5-year Plan in China NANJING, Jul 10, 2007 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Fiat Automobile S.p.A., the largest automaker in Italy, and its Chinese partners plan to jointly invest EUR 600 million in the coming five years to expand its business in China. The Italian automaker announces its global sales will reach 2.4 million cars by 2010, including 263,000 cars sold in China.
Given its most of sales increase came from China in 2006, Fiat intends to import three types of its cars, Grande Punto, Bravo and Linea, to China as entire cars at the end of 2007, in the effort to successfully achieve the sale goal.
