AsiaInfo Services 07-13-2007 Stone's Net Profit Soared 110.2% Beijing, Jul 13, 2007 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Stone Group Holdings Ltd. (SEHK: 0409) gained net profit of HKD 134 million or HKD 0.0862 per share in the fiscal quarter ended on March 30, 2007, in line with its financial report released on July 11. The 110.2% rise in its net profits of the three-month period is mainly because its non-operating revenue soared to HKD 235 million from HKD 7.415 million of the previous year. In the January-March period, Stone had still controlled 2.5 million shares, valued at HKD 657 million, in SINA Corporation (Nasdaq: SINA), a leading online media company in China, which brought about HKD 116 million proceeds for the shareholder.
