AsiaInfo Services 08-24-2007 China Unicom Denies Business Transfer to China Telecom BEIJING, Aug 24, 2007 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- China Unicom has denied a recent report saying it would transfer a military-use CDMA network to operation by China Telecom, the No.1 fixed-line carrier in the country. According to the report based on insiders, a local army recently received the notice by both China Unicom and China Telecom saying the former's military-use CDMA network would be handed over to Telecom by the end of the year, and some of Unicom's business offices were also said to have received notice reading similar information.
