AsiaInfo Services 08-30-2007 Alstom Secures CNY660mn Orders for Shanghai Subway SHANGHAI, Aug 30, 2007 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- A consortium leading by Alstom Transport and its Chinese partner CSR Nanjing Puzhen Rolling Stock Works has gained orders for 246 carriages for the No. 10 subway line in Shanghai from Shanghai Shentong Holdings Co., Ltd. The contract is worth EUR 210 million (roughly CNY 2.1 billion), EUR 66 million (roughly 660 million) of which is for Alstom. Under the contract, the French-headquartered World-Top-500 company and its consortium members will supply 41 trains with six carriages each for the Shanghai subway project.
