AsiaInfo Services 08-31-2007 Foreign Banks Grasping Turf in Zhongguancun BEIJING, Aug 31, 2007 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Holland-based ABN AMRO Bank on August 28 opened its branch at Zhongguancun, China's silicon valley based in Beijing. It is the foreign bank's sixth branch in Zhongguancun following Citibank from the US, HSBC from Hong Kong, Standard Chartered Bank from the U.
K., Deutsche Bank from Germany and Hang Seng Bank from Hong Kong. Noticeably, up to three top foreign banks have settled in Zhongguancun since 2007, obviously quicker than the pace of Chinese peers.
