AsiaInfo Services 09-03-2007 Volvo Has No Plan to Make C30 in China Now SHENZHEN, Sep 03, 2007 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Volvo Car Corporation, a world famous luxury car manufacturer under Ford Motor Company, has no plan to manufacture C30, a luxury hatchback two-door sports sedan model, in China. Volvo launched the latest car model, which hit the market in September 2006, in China, the world's second largest car market, on August 27, 2007.
The car model, which features a big glass liftgate in the back and a sloping top, is priced at CNY 358,000. Fredrik Arp, president and CEO of automaker, says that the company forecasts annual sales of 60,000 cars for the car model globally and 300-400 such cars in China this year.
