AsiaInfo Services 10-01-2007 The9 Is Said to Buy MSN China BEIJING, Oct 01, 2007 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Chinese online game operator The9 Ltd. (NASDAQ: NCTY) is said to reach an agreement at the beginning of September about the acquisition of a 50% stake in MSN China from Shanghai Alliance Investment Ltd. MSN China is valued at more than USD 200 million and the Chinese company intends to give an over USD 100 million bid for the stake, as a foray into the Chinese Internet arena, disclosed people familiar with the deal. MSN is a Sino-foreign 50-50 joint venture funded by Microsoft Corporation and Shanghai Alliance Investment.
