AsiaInfo Services 10-03-2007 The9 Might not Acquire MSN China BEIJING, Oct 03, 2007 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Chinese online game operator The9 Ltd. (NASDAQ: NCTY) might not become the majority shareholder of MSN China. The rumored story that The9 Ltd. would acquire a 50% stake in MSN China from Shanghai Alliance Investment Ltd.
is just a cooperation intent, people familiar with MSN China disclosed later. The9 was rumored on September 27 that it intended to give an over USD 100 million bid for the stake, as a foray into the Chinese Internet arena.
