AsiaInfo Services 10-26-2007 CNOOC Ltd. Plans not to Buy Energy Resources in US BEIJING, Oct 26, 2007 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- China's largest offshore crude oil and natural gas producer CNOOC Ltd. (NYSE: CEO and SEHK: 0883) does not show an interest in oil storage and production in the United States as well as around the Gulf of Mexico, said Yang Hua, chief financial officer of the company. However, the company plans to turn to the Asia-Pacific Region and Africa. Previously, the company quitted the USD 18.5 billion acquisition of Unocal Corp.
