AsiaInfo Services 11-12-2007 Kawasaki Heavy Industries to Create Branch in Shanghai SHANGHAI, Nov 12, 2007 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Japan's industrial robot maker Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. decides to create a branch at Hongqiao in Shanghai in 2008, as a sales and after services base for East China. An insider at the company predicts that China's automobile production would exceed that of Japan by the end of 2008, and as an important tool in the auto production, industrial robots would create a bigger market in China. The Japanese maker sells 15% of industrial robot output to China annually, and the sales for 2006 reached 2,100 sets.
