AsiaInfo Services 11-21-2007 Nokia Siemens Networks GSM-R to Serve Hefei-Nanjing Railway NANJING, Nov 21, 2007 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Nokia Siemens Networks, a globally leading telecommunications solutions supplier, has won the bid for a contract about providing GSM-R system for a dedicated passenger line between Hefei, capital city of East China's Anhui Province, and Nanjing, capital city of East China's Jiangsu Province. The 166-kolometer Hefei-Nanjing railway with a designed speed of 200 kilometers per hour is part of the express railway network across the country.
It will start operation in early 2008 and become the first commercialized new passenger dedicated line and the first such line adopting GSM-R systems in the country. The railway is another...
