AsiaInfo Services 11-30-2007 Nanjing Fiat to Suffer Dealer's Disloyalty in Shanghai SHANGHAI, Nov 30, 2007 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Nanjing Fiat Inc., a joint venture of Italy's Fiat Automobile SpA in China, will likely suffer the conversion of its Shanghai-based dealer, which has seen a continuous decline in of sales of Fiat Brand cars. The venture had had two dealers in Shanghai; the first dealer converted to other automakers two years ago when the venture's sales dropped.
The second dealer, Shanghai Huaxing Yate Auto Sales Co., Ltd., a 4S specialty store, has begun selling other brands cars and is in contact with BYD Auto and Beiqi Foton Motor. The venture has scarcely launched new cars in about two years, resulting in weak sales despite a series of price...
