AsiaInfo Services 12-06-2007 China Mobile Phone Market Share Dropped 2% Jan-Sep GUIYANG, Dec 06, 2007 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Chinese mobile phone makers captured 33.8% of the domestic market in the first three quarters, decreasing 2% compared with the end of 2006, according to an electronics information meeting held on December 4, 2007. Chinese GSM mobile phone sales rose 10% yearly to 78.71 million, accounting for 22.6% of the total sales in the country.
The number only took up 62.3% of Nokia's GSM products by market share. The country's new cellular products accounted for 36% of the total from January to September, about 30% lower than foreign counterparts. In the January-to-September period, the industry's average mobile phone price declined 4% to 7%...
