AsiaInfo Services 12-06-2007 Chinese Carmakers to Raise Production Capacity in 08 BEIJING, Dec 06, 2007 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Most of the carmakers in China plans to increase their manufacturing capacity in 2008, driven by the thriving automobile market and their soaring sales. Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co., Ltd., one of the Honda Motor's ventures in China, has decided to adjust upward its capacity to 168,000 cars from 120,000 in 2007 because of hot sales of SUV model CR-V and sedan model Civic; Beijing Hyundai Motor Co., a venture of Hyundai Motor in China, will lift its capacity to 600,000 cars as its new factory is completed.
