AsiaInfo Services 12-13-2007 The Chinese Government Subsidizes CMMB BEIJING, Dec 13, 2007 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- The China mobile multimedia broadcasting (CMMB) project gains a CNY 80 million subsidy from the nation's Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), according to people familiar with the ministry. The project totally needs about CNY 400 million and it will be in the charge of the science and technology division under the State Administration of Radio Film and Television of China (SARFT), which is inviting public bidding for the trial networks of the CMMB in 37 major cities all over the country.
The networks are planned to be finished before the coming Spring Festival, China's traditional family holiday. The project encompasses the CMMB system...
