AsiaInfo Services 12-26-2007 China Witnesses Another Two 1-million-car Makers and Sellers SHANGHAI, Dec 26, 2007 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- General Motors Corp. and Hubei-based Dongfeng Motor Corporation have become two leading carmakers in China with annual production and sales of over 1 million cars. China now has four such large carmakers including early-rated Changchun-headquartered China FAW Group Corporation and Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (Group) (SAIC). The US carmaker, which has several joint ventures like Shanghai General Motors, delivered its 1,000,000th car, a Park Avenue, to a customer at a 4S store in Shanghai on December 21, 2007, marking the first foreign carmaker listed as a 1-million-car seller in China.
