AsiaInfo Services 12-27-2007 ZTE to Win CNY5bn Tender against Huawei, Source Said GUANGZHOU, Dec 27, 2007 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- ZTE Corporation (SZSE: 000063) would win an IPTV bid valued at CNY 5 billion launched by the Guangdong branch of China Telecom Corporation Ltd. (SEHK: 0728 and NYSE: CHA) against Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., said a market source on December 26, 2007. The Guangdong arm plans to invest CNY 5 billion in the following three years to upgrade its network and broadband of Internet protocol television (IPTV) to serve more subscribers.
