AsiaInfo Services 01-04-2008 general motors corp[(gm)] Shanghai GM Topped 07 Sales List in China SHANGHAI, Jan 04, 2008 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Shanghai General Motors Co., Ltd., a venture of General Motors Corp., crowned the sales list of Chinese carmakers in 2007, with 500,308 cars, up 22%. The sales volume also makes the carmaker the No.
1 that sells more than 500,000 cars and the No. 1 by sales for the third consecutive year. Of the cars, 160,500 were under the brand of Chevrolet, surging 56.4% and making great contribution to the company's overall growth. Chevrolet Lova and new Chevrolet Epica saw sales of 87,000 and 41,700, respectively.
