AsiaInfo Services 01-18-2008 China Unicom Launches New Positioning Service SHANGHAI, Jan 18, 2008 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- China Unicom Ltd. (SEHK: 0762 and NYSE: CHU) launched a new positioning service - intelligent navigation service - for Chinese customers on January 16, 2008, jointly with Shanghai CTH MAX Infotech Co., Ltd. Based on mobile phones and GPS terminals of vehicles, the service is featured with path planning service based on real-time traffic information.
