AsiaInfo Services 02-21-2008 Unilever Eyes on China's High-end Skincare Market BEIJING, Feb 21, 2008 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Consumer product maker Unilever recently invited Chinese actress Tang Wei as the latest image for its Pond's skincare products, an effort to enter China's high-end skincare product market. However, it does not mean that the company will give up the low-end skincare segment in China, Frank Braeken, president of Unilever for Greater China Region, pointed out in a recent interview. Unilever enjoyed an annual average growth of about 30 percent by cosmetic sales in China in the past few years, which is much higher compared with the growth it achieved in other countries of the world, according to statistics.
