AsiaInfo Services 02-26-2008 Mainland China 07 Got Six-year High VC Investment BEIJING, Feb 26, 2008 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Mainland China gained a six-year high venture capital investment of USD 2.49 billion in 2007, rising 5% year on year, according to a report by the US VC research database Dow Jones VentureSource. To be specific, in the year, the Chinese commerce, consumption, and retailing industry attracted USD 1.25 billion VC investment, soaring 83% from USD 682 million in the prior year.
