AsiaInfo Services 02-27-2008 Nissan Expects 9.4% Sales Growth in China in 08 WUHAN, Feb 27, 2008 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., a large Japanese carmaker, forecasts that it will sell 500,000 cars in China in 2008 with a yearly rise of 9.4%. The Japan-based carmaker sold 457,000 sedans and light-duty trucks in the country in 2007, up 26% from a year earlier.
Its two ventures in the country sold 312,000 cars in total, 272,000 cars from Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Company and 40,000 cars from Zhengzhou Nissan Automobile Co., Ltd. To realize its goal for 2008, the carmaker plans to launch new car models in its Wuhan-based venture like crossover car model Qashqai, city SUV model X-Trail, mini car model March and a medium-and high-grade sedan...
