AsiaInfo Services 03-10-2008 China Steel Products Prices Up 2.6% in February BEIJING, Mar 10, 2008 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- The price of major steel products in China averaged CNY 5,095 per ton in February 2008, 2.6% higher than the prior month and 25.63% more than a year ago, said the National Development and Reform Commission. The average price of building materials reached CNY 4,626 per ton, rising 2.49% monthly and 40.10% yearly; steel sheets CNY 5,608 per ton, up 2.6% and 16.28%; steel pipes CNY 5,729 per ton, up 2.10% and 17.92%; steel profiles CNY 4,563 per ton, up 2.88% and 36.21%.
The price of galvanized sheets averaged CNY 6,174 per ton; stainless steel sheets CNY 31,128 per ton; galvanized pipes CNY 5,746 per ton; and seamless pipes CNY 5,767 per ton. ...
