AsiaInfo Services 03-13-2008 CH DVD to Debut on Market in H1 08 BEIJING, Mar 13, 2008 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- CH DVD (China High Definition DVD), the Chinese-version HD DVD, will face consumers later. DRM (digital right management) technology finally got approval from the state regulator, says Lu Da, deputy director of the Optical Memory National Engineering Research Center under Tsinghua University, but software technology against piracy still need evaluations of overseas content providers, so CH DVD will not come into the market in March as originally planned, but in the first half of 2008.
