AsiaInfo Services 03-14-2008 UBS: China CPI Growing Temporarily BEIJING, Mar 14, 2008 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- China is merely facing a temporary growth of CPI (consumer price index), a main gauge of inflation, said yesterday Mr. Jonathan Anderson, senior economist for UBS AG (NYSE: UBS, SWX: UBSN and TYO: 8657), a global banking giant headquartered in Switzerland. He predicted that the Chinese CPI growth would narrow to 3 percent at the second half of 2008, and then the strong focus on China's current inflation situation would be shifted.
