AsiaInfo Services 03-17-2008 Shanghai, Shenzhen B-share Indexes Dive to Record Lows SHANGHAI, Mar 17, 2008 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Both US dollar- and Hong Kong dollar-denominated B-share Indexes on Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges, on March 13, tumbled to record lows for the period since the year beginning. SSE (Shanghai Stock Exchange) B Share Index opened at 291.97 and closed at 290.30, down 6.65 points or 2.24 percent.

Meanwhile, SSE (Shenzhen Stock Exchange) B Share Index opened at 587.67 and ended at 581.64, off 10.50 points or 1.77 percent. The CNY 390 million and CNY 326 million turnover on the two bourses expanded nearly 20 percent and more than 60 percent from the prior trading day.
