AsiaInfo Services 03-18-2008 Mainland China Resumes Natural Sand Exports to Taiwan FUZHOU, Mar 18, 2008 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Mainland China is expected to export nearly 2 million tons of natural sand to Taiwan in the 2008 full year. On March 17, a cargo ship carrying 16,300 tons of natural sand left the Port of Fuzhou.
It will arrive at Keelung Sea Port in Taiwan 36 hours later. It has been a year since March 1, 2007, when the Mainland banned natural sand exports to Taiwan for the consideration of environmental protection. Till now, seven mainland exporters have been approved to ...
