AsiaInfo Services 04-02-2008 PBC Recovered CNY158bn Capital in Five Days BEIJING, Apr 02, 2008 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- China's central bank the People's Bank of China recovered CNY 158 billion capital from March 24 to March 28, 2008, excluding CNY 192 billion of mature bills and repurchase. In the period, the central bank sold CNY 232 billion bills as well as recovered CNY 113 billion via 28-day repurchase and CNY 5 billion via 182-day repurchase. On March 25, it issued CNY 88 billion one-year bills with a 4.0583% reference yield, the rate remained flat for 12 consecutive weeks, and the total amount of the bills offered surged CNY 32 billion from the previous week.
