AsiaInfo Services 05-05-2009 Baidu and Phone Makers to Launch Search Handsets SHENZHEN, May 05, 2009 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- Chinese Internet search service provider Baidu lately joined hands with mobile phone makers such as Samsung, Lenovo, K-touch to launch mobile phones bundled with Baidu search service. The S8300 and S5230, the first such two handsets under Samsung are due to hit the market within this month.

The S5230 is a GSM handset with support for the 2G networks of China Mobile and China Unicom. These Baidu handsets will come up with an icon leading directly to the wireless search service offered by Baidu.
