AsiaInfo Services 06-18-2009 Life Insurers' Premiums Slow down SHANGHAI, Jun 18, 2009 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- The premium revenue China Life Insurance Co., Ltd. (SHSE: 601628 and SEHK: 2628) gained in the first five months of 2009 totaled CNY 145.6 billion, down 3.9 percent from a year ago, compared to an average annual drop of 1.6 percent in the first four months of the year. It is the third consecutive month for it to suffer negative premium revenue growth after a shining performance in the first two months of this year.
The figure it achieved in May reached CNY 19.6 billion, sliding 16.5 percent year on year, compared to an annual fall of 15 percent in April, and 10.8 percent month on month, the second consecutive month for it to see monthly...
