AsiaInfo Services 06-22-2009 Pratt & Whitney to Enlarge Chengdu Production Base BEIING, Jun 22, 2009 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- Pratt & Whitney plans to improve its Chinese arm Chengdu Aerotech Manufacturing Co., Ltd. toward an outstanding manufacturing center via a round of enlargement, citing a report. The subsidiary is mainly engaged in the processing of high-precision aviation machinery and production of sheet metal components and parts, as a joint venture among the US aircraft engine manufacturer and two Chinese companies, including Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) and AVIC Chengdu Engine (Group) Co., Ltd. Later, Aerotech Manufacturing will move from Chengdu City's Chenghua District to the Chengdu High-tech Development Zone....
